The 1854 Society held its annual reception on June 11, 2025, at the Hartford Golf Club, celebrating 17 new members who have included Hartford Hospital in their estate plans. Named for the hospital’s founding year, the 1854 Society honors those whose planned gifts create a lasting legacy of compassion and community.
Dozens of society members and leaders from Hartford HealthCare and Hartford Hospital gathered to hear updates on recent successes and ongoing initiatives. Jeffrey A. Flaks, President & CEO of Hartford HealthCare, thanked members and shared his vision for the future of healthcare in Connecticut—one shaped by the Society’s generous support.
