The Hartford Hospital Auxiliary hosted its 36th annual Golf Invitational on September 15, 2025, at The Hartford Golf Club, where more than $500,000 was raised in support of Hartford Hospital’s Nuclear Medicine Department and the multitude of programs, projects, scholarships, and technical upgrades the Auxiliary funds each year.
Widely known as one of the most popular and successful golf fundraisers in the Hartford region, the Auxiliary Golf Invitational has raised over $5 million for Hartford Hospital beneficiaries since its inception in 1989.
The Nuclear Medicine Department offers the most advanced imaging capabilities from diagnostics through treatment. Nuclear medicine is a safe and painless imaging technology that uses small amounts of specially formulated radioactive materials (tracers) to help diagnose and monitor a variety of diseases.
A portion of the tournament’s proceeds will purchase the Intego PET/CT Automatic Infusion System, a state-of-the-art imaging system that provides a safer and more accurate method for preparing and administering radioactive tracers.
“We are extremely grateful to our many sponsors, 204 golfers, and 40 volunteers representing our Auxiliary, Hartford HealthCare, Hartford Hospital, and the Department of Radiology for their incredible support of the 2025 Invitational and the hospital’s Nuclear Medicine Department,” said Auxiliary Co-Presidents Lori Flaks and Kim Conrad. “The Nuclear Medicine Department provides expert care to over 2,000 patients annually, and we are thrilled to help them invest in cutting-edge technology that will sustain Hartford Hospital’s excellent patient safety record while enhancing early detection and monitoring of diseases.”
The Hartford Hospital Auxiliary has been funding projects, programs, and scholarships at Hartford Hospital for over a century. In 2024 alone, the Auxiliary awarded $395,000 in grants for 33 hospital projects.
