K9 Program at Hartford Hospital - Department of Philanthropy

Support the paws patrolling the halls!

Donations to the K9 Program allow our Public Safety Department to fund specific needs of our four-legged partners. Currently, the program has three K9’s employed, whose job it is to keep our patients, visitors, and staff as safe as possible. The program also honors three retired K9’s who dedicated their lives to the safety of our organization.

Our K9s and their Security handers go through hours of training to ultimately provide an additional level of security for all on our campus. Your support will help the program with training, equipment, toys, treats and overall care of our officers.
