Lite the Month Pink - Department of Philanthropy

Join Lite 100.5 WRCH as they “Lite the Month Pink” and honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month by supporting the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute at Hartford Hospital’s “Take the Time” mobile mammography program. In its 20-year history, this life-saving program has provided over 30,000 mammograms—many of them free for those who couldn’t afford them—and has helped in the diagnosis of hundreds of early cancers in underserved women.

The average cost of a mammogram is $150 and the goal is to raise enough funds by the end of October to allow Hartford Hospital to provide at least 500 patients with essential mobile mammography services free of charge.
