About Ron's Run and the Ron Foley Foundation

Ron's Run for the Roses was created in memory of Ron Foley of West Hartford, who died of pancreatic cancer in 2005. Ron was a respected business leader who passed away shortly after retiring from The Travelers. The mission of the Ron Foley Foundation is to:

  • Promote public awareness of pancreatic cancer;
  • Assist in the development of a local network providing information, contacts, shared experiences, and support;
  • Raise much-needed funds for medical research leading to early detection and more effective treatment.

The Ron Foley Foundation is a supporter of Hartford Hospital. For more information about the upcoming Ron's Run, please visit
the Ron Foley Foundation website or the Ron's Run Facebook page.
