Nurses are the heart and soul of Hartford Hospital and the Institute of Living—and each year we take time to recognize their hard work, sacrifices, and compassionate care as we celebrate Nurses Week. This year’s celebrations took place May 6 – May 12, 2024.
Throughout the week, our nurses hosted Hartford Hospital’s Annual Rose Aiello Basket Drawing in the hospital’s main lobby. Rosemary Aiello was a nurse at Hartford Hospital for 47 years and she was so passionate about this annual drawing that it was named in her honor and memory.
Net proceeds from the 2024 drawing will equally benefit the Hartford Public High School Allied Health Pathway Program and the Hartford HealthCare Colleague Assistance Fund—the latter of which provides one-time financial assistance to help colleagues during an unexpected hardship.
