The Young Leaders Advisory Council (YLAC) hosted its annual Spring Into Action community fundraiser on September 11, 2024, in support of Women’s Health Services at Hartford Hospital.

The event, which welcomed dozens of guests to the hospital’s Education and Resource Center, raised $30,000—the net proceeds of which will support nursing education and staff training resources for the Women’s Health care team, as well as comfort items that empower patients to make informed decisions on childbirth options, while also reducing the need for other interventions and pain medication.

Consisting of early to mid-career professionals in the Hartford region, YLAC promotes Hartford Hospital, its innovative programs, and critical services through social and educational events, fundraising, and ambassadorship in the community.

Women’s Health Services at Hartford Hospital strives to create a supportive and empowering environment for everyone giving birth because a positive experience can have lasting benefits for both mother and child. The Women’s Health team provides its community with accessible, equitable, and high-quality care unique to each patient’s health needs—from common gynecological issues to more complex conditions, such as pregnancy and childbirth.
