Hartford Hospital is grateful to Lisa Libera McNally, Bill Reis, friends and family of Jim McNally, and supporters of the 8th annual Jim McNally Memorial Golf Tournament for celebrating the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute at Hartford Hospital and its Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center as the sole beneficiary of the 2024 tournament. Net proceeds from the event—which took place on September 27, 2024, at Portland Golf Course—will support throat cancer research and cancer patient assistance at Hartford Hospital.
Named in honor of Lisa’s husband, the annual tournament celebrates the life of Jim McNally and his heroic fight against stage 4 throat cancer. Jim, who sadly passed in October 2016, was 53 years old at the time of his diagnosis and is described by loved ones as a “warrior through his treatment who did not want other patients and their families to go through what his family endured.”
