Nominate a Hero

We believe our colleagues are heroes in every sense of the word. In recognition of their extraordinary dedication, Hartford Hospital is pleased to offer 25 colleagues the opportunity to attend Black & Red on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts.

Eligible colleagues and volunteers of Hartford Hospital and the Institute of Living (IOL) who have gone above and beyond the call of duty may be nominated to attend the 2026 Black & Red gala with a guest. Nominated colleagues who meet the criteria outlined below will be entered into a random selection process.

Qualifications

• The nominee must demonstrate Hartford HealthCare’s Leadership Behaviors and a commitment to continuous improvement.

• The nominee must be a current colleague or volunteer of Hartford Hospital or the Institute of Living (IOL) in good standing.

• The nominee must receive at least one nomination; self-nominations will not be accepted.

• Colleagues may receive multiple nominations; however, each nominee will receive only one entry into the selection process.

• All Hartford Hospital and IOL colleagues are eligible to be nominated, with the exception of Senior Management and Directors.

• Nominees must not have previously attended Black & Red as a Hartford Hospital Hero.

Selection Process

• All nominations will be reviewed to ensure eligibility requirements are met. Nominees who do not meet the qualifications will not be entered into the drawing.

• Eligible nominees will be grouped by department and selected at random.

• A total of 25 colleagues will be selected. Each selected colleague will receive two tickets.

• Only selected colleagues will be notified.

• If a selected colleague is unable to attend, another eligible nominee from the same department will be selected at random.

• Tickets are non-transferable and valid only for the 2026 Black & Red event. Tickets may not be used for future events.
