Support the Hartford Hospital Pet Therapy Program

A pet therapy volunteer had such meaningful experiences with her dog Rory as they interacted with patients, staff, and the department of Volunteer Services that she began the Rory Holt Fund for Pet Therapy.

Donations to the Rory Holt Fund allow us to support pet therapy team interactions with patients and staff as they provide them with a calm and affectionate presence. Hartford Hospital pet therapy teams have provided over 56,300 hours of service to our patients and staff.

If you have a special dog you would like to share with people in the hospital as a pet therapy team, please contact the department of Volunteer Services for more information. Volunteer opportunities are available at Hartford Hospital, the Institute of Living, as well as several satellite locations.
